The Soviet Military Liaison Mission card was provided by Mark Foss, Auburn WA. Mark was at Schneeberg for a short while (late 70s?) Thanks Mark for sharing those lost instructions - Mark reminds us that President Bush has declared these folks to now be our "friends"!

Feedback from Ed Railsback:
Yes, those are fantastic photos! I can't believe that the Supremes appeared next outside the rusty club! Dan, do you remember what year that was?
We had two USO shows in 65/66. The first was a C&W band in the club, and we blew the roof off the place. The band members were all PVTs and PFCs, we were mostly E-5. The cowboys really freaked out when we started chanting "gimmie an F, gimmie a T, gimme an A" with E-6s looking on.
The second USO show was an asshole folk singer, who appeared in the Day Room/Kino. He and an accompanying Herzo Base USO bunny got a well-deserved cold reception. Later, we were verbally reprimanded for insulting the bunny and being rude to the singer.
